Job Purpose
The main objective of the investment specialist team is to represent investment teams in client-facing activities, develop and promote investment products, and provide high-quality client service. This role is for a US Fixed Income Investment Specialist and will be responsible for working closely with the US investment grade and high yield investment teams.
Key Accountabilities
Production of presentations and data manipulation
• Support the US fixed income teams as required for data or product information
• Edit/update and customise marketing and presentation materials, assist with data from RFPs/RFIs, and support client portfolio reporting, as necessary
• Respond to internal requests for data (performance, asset, client, portfolio data)
• Create, update, and customise and improve sales presentations and other marketing materials for US fixed income products
• Tasks can require a large amount of data manipulation and manual aggregation of quant data Develop fixed income offering for clients
• Attend regular investment meetings to become expert in the US fixed income strategies
• Use knowledge to be a central point of reference, both internally and externally
• Develop and promote a range of products and solutions to respond to future investor demand
• Business development
• Gather information on the firm, strategies, processes, products, and investments, for the purpose of presenting to clients and prospects
• Work with Sales and RFP teams to structure high quality answers to prospect requests
• Design and structure key messages and adapt messages for product materials
• Develop sufficient technical and product knowledge with a view to representing investment teams in client facing and marketing activities over time A high quality of client service
• Organise timely and accurate responses to all types of client or prospect queries
• Deliver high quality client analysis
• Present topics of expertise and standard updates to clients
• Interact frequently with, and respond to requests for information from multiple internal groups including investment professionals, operations, compliance, data management, et al. Your Profile
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree/BS/BA required Experience
• Preference for experience in financial industry, preferably within Fixed Income at an asset management company
• Strong understanding of investment concepts and strategies Knowledge and Skills
• High level of comfort with quantitative / analytical skills required
• Good understanding of financial / bond markets and general economics; understanding of bond characteristics
• Strong proficiency in Excel required; (familiarity with VBA and writing macros is a plus)
• Proficient with Microsoft Powerpoint and Word
• Experience with FactSet Portfolio Analytics, Bloomberg, and Tableau a plus
• Excellent verbal, written and editing skills in English required Competencies
